The Town Of Qualicum Beach Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Hydrotechnical Engineering Firms Experienced In Marine Beach Processes To Prepare And Complete The Design Of Erosion Protection Measures Along The Oceanfront Of Seaside Nature Park. The Successful Proponent Will Assess Existing Shoreline Conditions And Erosion Mechanisms Within The Project Area, Confirm Key Constraints And Risks, And Develop Practical, Constructible Erosion Protection Repair Design Solutions Suitable For Implementation By The Town. The Town’S Intent Is To Complete The Design In 2026, Including The Appropriate Level Of Field Investigation, Analysis, And Design Development Required To Proceed To Construction Tendering. Subject To Council Approval, Permitting Requirements, And Funding, The Town Anticipates Completing Construction Of The Erosion Protection Repairs In The 2027 Calendar Year.
