Lslpp Supports The Boreal Centre For Bird Conservation And The Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory, Offering Exceptional Opportunities For Birdwatching, Research, Education, And Interpretation Within A Major Migratory Corridor. Located Approximately 275 Km North Of Edmonton Along Highway 88, The 7,606‑Hectare Park Spans Diverse Ecosystems Ranging From Sand Dunes And Mixed‑Wood Forests To Coniferous Forests Near Marten Mountain. The Southern Portion Of The Park Contains The Most Developed And Heavily Used Facilities, Including Popular Beaches, Day‑Use Areas, And A Golf Course. Camping And Accommodation Options Include Marten River Campground (114 Sites), A Short‑Stay Rv Area At Devonshire Beach, Fixed‑Roof Accommodations At The Nest, And Designated Group Use Areas. The Park Is Situated Within The Municipal District Of Lesser Slave River And Is Operated And Managed By Alberta Parks, North Region. The Proposed Project Involves The Development Of A New Campground Within The North Shore Area Of Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park. A Concept Plan Has Been Completed And Approved, Supported By A Project Charter That Confirms And Defines The Scope Of Work.
