LISAs mission objective is to observe gravitational waves from space in the frequency band of 0.1 mHz to 1 Hz, not accessible from ground-based observatories. The mission architecture consists of a constellation of three spacecraft placed at the vertexes of a near-equilateral triangle with side length of about 2.5 million km (LISA Constellation). An overview of the LISA mission and its objectives can be found on the Agency website here: https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/LISA OHB, prime contractor for the programme, has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the realization of the LISA programme, building the industrial consortium. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the LISA Central Checkout System (CSS). The CSS is used by the customer to operate the Spacecraft on ground during AIT. The CSS coordinates all the other S/C EGSE equipment as single point of control. It provides to the test engineers the capability to run the test scripts and collect all data coming both from flight and ground equipment. The procurement of the Central Checkout System will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements.
