Tenders are invited for Procurement for the subcontractor selection of the Electrical Power System Special Checkout Equipment (EPS SCOE) for the LISA programme. The EPS SCOE provides electrical power to spacecraft interfaces and emulates payload power consumption during spacecraft operating and testing conditions. LISAs mission objective is to observe gravitational waves from space in the frequency band of 0.1 mHz to 1 Hz, not accessible from ground-based observatories. The mission architecture consists of a constellation of three spacecraft placed at the vertexes of a near-equilateral triangle with side length of about 2.5 million km (LISA Constellation). An overview of the LISA mission and its objectives can be found on the Agency website here: https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/LISA OHB, prime contractor for the programme, has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the realization of the LISA programme, building the industrial consortium. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the LISA Electrical Power System Special Checkout Equipment (EPS SCOE). The EPS SCOE is the checkout equipment that provides power to the different interfaces of the LISA S/C and emulates its payload power consumption. It consists of units providing and consuming power according to the S/Cs various operating and test conditions. These are the Solar Array Simulator, Battery Simulator, Pyro SCOE, Battery charging equipment and Payload Simulator. The procurement of the EPS SCOE will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements.
