Request for proposals for manufacturers of low-dose aspirin (75 mg oral tablets), Request for Proposals for manufacturers of aspirin SUPREME-SECURE Initiative Concept Foundation launches RFP for low-dose aspirin under the Unitaid SUPREMESECURE Initiative Concept Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for manufacturers of low-dose aspirin (75 mg oral tablets), as part of the Unitaid-funded SUPREMESECURE initiative. This RFP invites eligible manufacturers to partner with Concept Foundation and the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) to expand access to quality-assured, affordable aspirin for the prevention of preeclampsia in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Selected manufacturers may receive technical assistance and/or financial support to accelerate product development, regulatory approval, and market access. About this Request for Proposals Concept Foundation is seeking proposals from manufacturers capable of supplying aspirin 75 mg oral tablets that meet international quality standards. The RFP aims to support: · Development and strengthening of quality-assured products · Regulatory submissions, including WHO prequalification or equivalent pathways · Registration and supply in key African markets · Sustainable, affordable pricing and reliable supply Target countries include Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Senegal, and Tanzania, with potential for broader LMIC impact. The SUPREMESECURE project (20262029) focuses specifically on strengthening sustainable access to essential products by addressing barriers such as fragmented markets, weak regulatory systems, and inconsistent supply. The project is implemented by a consortium led by the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), in partnership with Concept Foundation, Aurum Institute, Burnet Institute, and WACI Health, with funding from Unitaid, a global health agency hosted by the World Health Organization. Within this consortium, Concept Foundation plays a central role in market shaping and manufacturer engagement, working to ensure that highquality, affordable medicines become available and sustainably supplied in LMICs.
