This is part of the economic pillar component of the project that GIZ International Services (InS) is responsible for implementing which focuses on advancing womens economic empowerment and contributing to the effective realization of gender equality in Lebanon. As part of the work under Component 2, NCLW and GIZ InS are seeking a research body to support the production of two research policy papers aimed at fostering a more inclusive and equitable economic ecosystem for women. The production of the 2 research policy papers is implemented in collaboration with the National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW), which is the official body established by Law No. 720 on 5 November 1998 and is affiliated with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. In line with its legal mandate, NCLW plays advisory, coordination, and executive roles, including the development of national strategies and action plans, policy shaping, collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders, and implementation of programs, projects, and activities related to womens issues. The assignment will run from June 2026 to March 2027, during which both studies will be conducted in parallel. This will include a final phase dedicated to validation, proofreading, preparation for launch, and dissemination activities. The advocacy and dissemination phase will take place in March 2027 led by GIZ InS and in close collaboration with NCLW, following the final validation of the policy briefs. This phase will include the official launch of the policy briefs, as well as dissemination and advocacy activities, implemented in parallel with the National Observatory.
