The Assignment Concerns The Remediation Of Gieterijstraat +59 In 1601 Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Plot A194f2). There Is Historical Soil Contamination On The Plot With Btex, Mineral Oil And Vocl In The Solid Part Of The Earth And The Groundwater. The Contamination Was Caused By The Former Soap Factory In The Period Before 1964. The Remediation Includes Excavation To A Depth Of 5 M Below The Surface Using Drainage And A Slide Formwork. This Concerns Approximately 2,250 Tons Which Must Be Completely Dumped. In The Core Zone, A Carbon Source Must Also Be Injected At 16 Injection Points At A Depth Of 5 To 10 M Below Ground Level. The Remediation Should Start At The Beginning Of October 2026.
