Bids Are Invited For Lind Creek Dam Decommissioning Project

The City Of Greenwood Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Contractors For The Decommissioning And Removal Of The Lind Creek Dam, With The Goal Of Restoring Lind Creek To A More Natural And Historic Channel Configuration. The Project Includes The Removal Of The Existing Dam Embankment, Concrete Spillway Structure, Low-Level Outlet Works, And Associated Infrastructure, Along With Significant Earthworks, Excavation, Stream Diversion, Dewatering, Sediment Management, Erosion Protection, And Environmental Restoration Measures. The Work Will Also Involve Channel Reconstruction And Stabilization To Support The Long-Term Health And Function Of The Creek System. Due To Site Constraints, Including Limited Access To The Dam Location, Proponents May Also Consider The Construction Of A Temporary Access Road As Part Of Their Approach To Completing The Project.
