Kaslo River Flood Mitigation Planning . The Village Of Kaslo Is Seeking Proposals From Organizations Or Individuals That Are Qualified To Undertake A Hazard, Risk And Vulnerability Assessment To Identify Sites Along The Kaslo River That Require Bank Remediation Work To Reduce The Risk Of Potential Flood And Erosion That Could Lead To Property And Infrastructure Damage Or Loss. The Village Of Kaslo Is Seeking Design Proposals From Qualified Consultants/Firms To Provide Engineering And Environmental Services For The Riverbank Restoration Work Along The Kaslo River. The Consultant Will Be Responsible For The Following Scope Of Work: • Consultation With The Village Of Kaslo, Stakeholders Including The Ministry Of Transportation, Kaslo Outdoor Recreation & Trails Society, First Nations, And Affected Adjacent Property Owners To Identify Problem Locations That Require Remediation Work. • Detailed Design Including: - Develop Issued For Review (Ifr) Level Detailed Design Package Of The Proposed Sites For Village Review And Comment. - Develop Issued For Tender (Ift) Level Detailed Design Package Compliant With The Master Municipal Construction Documents (Mmcd) Protocols Following Village Review Of Ifr Package, Including Schedule Of Material Quantities And Supplementary Specifications. - Develop A Detailed Construction Cost Budget That The Village Can Rely On To Seek Structural Grant Funding. • Develop An Environmental Management Plan For Use During Construction. - The Consultant May Engage A Qualified Sub-Consultant If This Portion Of The Work Is Outside Their Area Of Practice. • Prepare Environmental Permit Applications And Support The Village During The Environmental Permitting Stages.
