Tittelsenter For Jon Fosse, Strandebarm In Hardanger . Description The Planning And Design Competition Concerns A New Communication Building For Jon Fosse, And The Competition Starts With An Open Pre-Qualification, Where The Participants Must Submit A Concept Sketch For The Fosse Center (Up To Three A3 Pages, Anonymously). The Jury Will Select Up To Three Proposals That Will Go On To The Planning And Design Competition Itself. The Competition Will Be Open To Architects And Landscape Architects With An Approved Examination Equivalent To A Masters, Or Persons And Companies Who Can Document Equivalent Competence. All Information About This Planning And Design Competition Can Be Found In The Competition Documents. Jon Fosse Is A World-Renowned Author Who Has Been Translated Into More Than Seventy Languages. In 2023, He Received The Nobel Prize For Literature For Innovative Drama And Prose That Gives Voice To The Unspeakable (From The Swedish Academys Rationale). Now The Plan Is To Build A Center For Dissemination Of Jon Fosses Writing, At Tangerås In Strandebarm, Where He Grew Up. The Center Will Look After And Strengthen The Connection Between Fosses Art, The New Norwegian Language And The Landscape In Strandebarm, And Facilitate New Cultural Expressions With National And International Relevance. Here, The Public Will Be Able To Experience Performing Arts, Music And Exhibitions, While At The Same Time There Will Be Room For Reflection With A View Of The Fjord. The New Building Will Maintain A High Architectural Quality And, In Interaction With The Landscape, Reflect Fosses Artistry, While At The Same Time Contributing To A Rich And Diverse Cultural Life. It Is The Fosse Foundation That Is Behind The Development Of The Jon Fosse Centre, And The National Association Of Norwegian Architects Has Been Chosen As An Adviser Throughout The Competition Process.
