Engineering Services – Monitoring Services And Special Structural Inspections. The West Ring Tunnel Consists Of 2 Tunnel Tubes. The 93 M Long Construction Sections 6 - 9 Of The West Tube Are Relevant For Monitoring. The Tunnel Ceilings, Made Of Prestressed Concrete, Were Prestressed With Tendons That Are Considered To Be At Risk Of Stress Corrosion Cracking. Sound Emission Monitoring Is Therefore Planned To Detect Possible Prestressing Steel Fractures As Well As Additional Temperature Measurements. In Addition, The Undersides Of The Tunnel Ceilings Should Be Checked Annually As Part Of A Special Inspection.
