Tenders Are Invited For Construction Of Replacement Houses

Expression of Interest for Construction of Replacement Houses for Eacop Project (Tanzania) · The construction of replacement houses and ancillary structures (kitchen and latrines) for project affected people (PAPs) displaced by the management of noise exceedance at the Above Ground Installations (pumping stations) will be carried out in Muleba District, Kagera Region and Igunga District, Tabora region. · The project will provide a replacement house (s) at the agreed replacement land, to eligible physically displaced households. The project will determine the type of replacement structures to be provided and the location in agreement with each PAP. Contractors will construct three houses, and their ancillary structures from the Companies detailed house designs all of which are based on standardized house layouts. · The contractor will be responsible for executing all aspects of the scope of work, including substructures, superstructures, roofing, finishing, electrical, plumbing, civil, and landscaping activities, as well as providing all required labour and materials. · Replacement houses will generally be between two to five rooms, with a gross floor of 25 m2 to 47 m2. Each house will typically have two (2) ancillary structures, kitchen and a ventilated improved pit latrine. Replacement housing will be of good standard construction. The houses will be constructed using modern locally sourced materials, all of which meet Tanzania quality standard and meet all National building Codes requirements. · EACOP is seeking a reputable company with a demonstrable track record of undertaking the construction of replacement houses in accordance with the Tanzania standards and good international industry practice.
