The Digital University Of North Rhine-Westphalia (Dh.Nrw) Is A Joint Initiative Of The Universities In North Rhine-Westphalia And The Ministry Of Culture And Science. It Was Founded In 2016 And Brings Together 41 Universities In North Rhine-Westphalia. The Aim Of Dh.Nrw Is To Cooperatively Shape The Digital Transformation Of The University Landscape In North Rhine-Westphalia And To Establish And Further Develop Common Digital Infrastructures, Services, Strategies And Support Offers. The Dh.Nrw Office Is Located At The Ruhr University Bochum. The Contractual Partner In The Award Process Is The Ruhr University Of Bochum. The Dh.Nrw Works In The Four Fields Of Action: Digital Infrastructure, Research Support, Studying And Teaching, And Administration. There Are Also The Cross-Sectional Topics Of Information Security And Artificial Intelligence. Within This Framework, Strategies Are Developed Across Universities, Projects Are Coordinated And Joint Services Are Established. The Office Accompanies These Processes, Supports The Committee Work And Networks Universities, Projects And Other Parties Involved. The Governance Of Dh.Nrw Is Organized On Several Levels. In Particular, The Executive And Extended Boards, The Sounding Board And The Working Groups In The Action Lines Take On Central Roles. The Website Must Clearly Reflect This Complex Environment And Make The Dh.Nrw Visible As A Coordinating Platform. There Are Currently Around 40 Funded Projects Running Within The Dh.Nrw (As Of April 2026), Including It Services, Jointly Operated Infrastructures And Competence Centers. The Website Therefore Not Only Serves For External Representation, But Also For The Structured Classification Of A Broad And Dynamic Portfolio.
