Engineering Services – Technical Assistance To The Project Management Unit Of The Ministry Of Environment And Physical Planning. In 2022, A Financial Agreement Was Signed Between The Eib And The Ministry Of Finance Of Republic Of North Macedonia For The Implementation Of The Project “Municipal Water Infrastructure North Macedonia” For The Construction And Rehabilitation Of Water Supply And Sewerage Systems, Construction Of Drinking Water And Wastewater Treatment Plants, And Construction Of Flood Protection Systems In The Entire Territory Of Nmk. The Value Of The Loan From Eib Is 50 Meur. The Project For The Improvement Of Municipal Water Infrastructure In Nmk Is Ongoing, And Implemented By The Ministry Of Environment And Physical Planning (Moepp), With All 80 Municipalities In Nmk Serving As The Final Beneficiaries. Moepp Has Established A Project Management Unit (Pmu) Consisting Of Staff Employed By The Ministry. The Pmu Has A Role Of Managing The Performance Of The Project Implementation Unit (Piu), Which Has Been Established To Carry Out The Preparation And Implementation Of Projects. Preparation And Implementation Of Sub-Projects Has Been Ongoing Since 2023. The Consultant Is Expected To Provide Technical Assistance To The Moepp With Regard To Project Preparation And Project Implementation.
