To support this vision and strengthen the impact of HIV, TB and malaria (HTM) programs, the Global Fund developed a NextGen Market Shaping approach which outlines a holistic set of interventions to shape innovation and accelerate new product introductions at scale, promote capacity building for regional manufacturing, and drive environmentally sustainable procurement and supply chains. The Global Fund Board approved funding for a NextGen Market Shaping Strategic Initiative (SI) to implement a set of market shaping interventions in HIV, TB, and Malaria during the upcoming grant cycle (known as GC7). The SI is supporting the implementation of innovative approaches and mechanisms to support the introduction and scale up of new tools in Global Fund supported countries.
