This Request For Proposals (The “Rfp”) Is An Invitation By The City Of Medicine Hat (The “City”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For Veterinary Services For Animal Pound Services (Aps) As Further Described In Appendix D (Rfp Particulars) Section A (The “Deliverables”).The City Of Medicine Hat (“The City”) Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified And Licensed Veterinary Service Providers (“The Contractor”) To Support The Medical Care, Welfare, And Regulatory Requirements Of Animals Housed At The City’S Animal Pound (“The Pound”). The Pound Employs A Registered Veterinary Technician (Rvt); However, The Rvt Must Operate Under The Direction And Supervision Of A Licensed Veterinarian In Accordance With Alberta Regulations.The City Requires A Veterinary Partner Who Can Provide On-Site And Off-Site Veterinary Services On An As-Needed Basis, Support The Rvt In Carrying Out Delegated Tasks, And Ensure Humane, Timely, And Compliant Care For Impounded Animals.The Term Of The Agreement Is To Be For A Period Of One (1) Year, With An Option In Favour Of The City To Extend The Agreement On The Same Terms And Conditions Annually For An Additional Four (4) Years.
