Today, CARE focuses on empowering particularly marginalized and vulnerable women in Cambodia, including urban women who are marginalized by occupation, rural women who are denied multiple rights, and women and girls form ethnic minorities. Each year CARE Cambodia implements around 10 projects, reaching approximately 250,000 direct participants and about 500,000 people are reached indirectly. Background: CARE Cambodia is implementing a project that aims to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of workersparticularly women workers, union leaders, and focal pointsto apply Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) as a practical tool for advocacy to promote dignity at work and improved working conditions. The project engages trade unions, workers, and factoryrelated stakeholders across selected locations in Cambodia and integrates genderjust reflection and genderbased violence and harassment (GBVH) perspectives into HREDD concepts, principles, and mechanisms. To support the implementation of the project activities, CARE Cambodia invites qualified consultants to submit proposals to provide technical services under this consultancy. Expected Outputs Consultant for Human Rights Environmental Due Diligence Career Category: Consultancies Location:Phnom Penh Summary Objective: The overall objective of this consultancy is to support CARE Cambodia in the effective implementation of HREDDrelated activities by: Strengthening participants understanding of HREDD concepts, principles, mechanisms, and strategies. Supporting the delivery of training, mentoring, coaching, and reflection sessions aligned with the project Scope of Work. Ensuring that genderresponsive and workercentered perspectives are effectively integrated into all project activities. Join and co-facilitator with all activities under the Enhancing Civil Society Organizations Engagement for Inclusive and Decent Work in Cambodias Garment Sector. Scope of Work: Under the supervision of CARE Cambodia, the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks: Technical Preparation Review CAREprovided project documents, including the HREDD training manual and related materials. Providing technical input to adapt training content to the target audience, incorporating genderresponsive and trade union perspectives. Training Delivery Facilitate HREDD training sessions for workers, union members, and focal points in Phnom Penh and selected provinces. Support and facilitate a threeday technical discussion meeting with SC staff to prepare adapted training materials. Mentoring and Coaching Facilitate mentoring and coaching sessions on HREDD at regional level for selected union focal points. Provide practical guidance on applying HREDD tools and mechanisms in advocacy efforts. Reflection and Learning Facilitate a oneday reflection session on HREDD and genderresponsive implementation. Support documentation of lessons learned and reflections on project effectiveness. Eligibility The consultant should meet the following minimum qualifications: Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in human rights, labor rights, environmental governance, gender studies, or related fields. Demonstrated experience in human rights due diligence, labor rights, or trade union capacitybuilding. Proven experience facilitating training, mentoring, or capacitydevelopment activities for adult learners. Strong understanding of gender equality and GBVH considerations. Experience working with trade unions and/or the garment sector in Cambodia is a strong advantage.
