The Public Service Of Wallonia Mobility And Infrastructure Operates The Salzinnes Lock (Namur), Which Allows The Passage Of Cemt Class Va Convoys (Boats Of 110 M X 11.4 M, 2000 T). The Curved Doors Of The Lock Are Seriously Damaged And Must Be Replaced, As Are The Aqueduct Valves Which Are No Longer Sufficiently Watertight And Whose Operation Frequently Encounters Problems. The Namur Waterways Department Wishes To Take Advantage Of The Replacement Of The Curved Gates To Improve The Operation Of The Lock By Modifying The Looping System (Pure Looping) And Adapting The Joints To Current Technologies, While Trying To Harmonize The New Parts With Those Used For The Recent Rehabilitation Of The Auvelais Lock.
