general Contract For The Reconstruction Of A Dam At Kolsjø . Descriptionthe Procurement Includes A General Contract For The Reconstruction Of A Dam On Kolsjø. The Existing Stone Coffin Dam/Timber Coffin Dam On Kolsjø Is To Be Demolished And Replaced With A New Concrete Gravity Dam In Its Entire Length (Approx. 140 Metres). The Dam Is Planned With A Spillway For Most Of Its Length, Initially In Two Levels, As Well As Two Bottom Tapping Arrangements. All Parts Of The Existing Dam Are Replaced. Dam Kolsjø Was Originally A Timber Floating Dam Built In 1864 And Last Rehabilitated In The Period 1900-1902. Most Of The Dam Is Very Low, And Large Parts Of The Dam Are At Approximately The Same Height As The Terrain. There Are Two Deep Runs, The Highest Estimated To Be Approx. 2.1 Meters. The Dam Is Characterized By Decay And Must Be Rebuilt To Satisfy The Dam Safety Regulations Requirements For Stability.
