Tenders are invited for Supply of Stationery Items and Educational Play Material for Primary School Children. Save the Children works around the world to contribute to immediate and lasting improvements for children, in emergencies as well as development contexts. We want a world in which all children survive, learn and are protected. Save the Childrens US Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded McGovern-Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program (PALAM/A II Project), which supports the Governments National School Meal Programme (NSMP), is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development, The Ministry of Agriculture, and The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs. This program is aimed at reducing short-term hunger among school children while enhancing student attendance and attentiveness across 8 districts in Sri Lanka. To improve foundational reading and comprehension skills, the project also implements literacy development activities for primary school children in 7 districts in Sri Lanka. As part of the program, Save the Children hereby invites qualified suppliers who can supply stationery items and educational play material for Sinhala and Tamil medium students in primary schools supported by the project. The requirement includes: Basic stationery items Childrens art supplies Basic office supplies. Educational play material (These may include age-appropriate literacy development aids such as alphabet and word flash cards, story card sets etc., as well as play items like jigsaw puzzles that support skill development in young children.) *A detailed list of required items will be provided.
