The Fields, Roughly 180,000 Square Feet Combined Is The Largest Open Outdoor Space For Activities On Campus.The Replacement Of The Two Synthetic Turf Fields Due To Their Age And Near Failure Of Safety/Condition Assessments Is Being Proposed. The Current Fields Have Reached The End Of Their Lifecycle, And Their Deteriorating Condition Poses Safety Risks To Users. By Replacing These Fields, We Will Ensure The Provision Of A Safe And High-Quality Playing Surface, Benefiting Athletics, Sports Organizations, And The Community At Large. The Two Synthetic Turf Fields In Question Were Installed Over A Decade Ago (Terry Fox Field = 2011; Field#4 = 2004) And Their Condition Has Significantly Deteriorated Over Time.
