It Is The Intent Of This Specification To Provide For The Design And Construction Of One Potable Water Filter System. The Potable Water Filter System Should Measure Around 5.2M Long X 1.4M Wide X 2.6M High. The Filter System Needs To Be Able To Fit Through A 2.9M High X 3M Wide Door. The Filter System Must Be Able To Produce Potable Water That Meets All Bc Drinking Water Standards. Mainly The Removal Of Iron And Manganese Is Required, With The Capability To Reduce Water Turbidity Consistently Below 1.0 Ntu. The Water Quality Analysis Before And After The Existing Treatment Plant Is In Schedule C For Reference. The Water Volume That The System Needs To Handle Is Between 500-700 Imperial Gallons Per Minute. The Potable Water Filter System Will Be Replacing And Need To Retrofit In Place Of An Atec Model 04-60-48 Iron & Manganese Filter, Fully Skidded Filter System Consisting Of 4 Filter Vessels Of 48-Inch Diameter With 60-Inch Sidewalls Including Header Piping, Valves, Media And An Automatic Backwash Control System.
