The Municipality Of Ede Has An Extensive Rural Area Consisting Of Ten Village Centers And Hamlets. The Culture In The Countryside Differs From The Culture In Ede City, Which Leads To Specific Points Of Attention. For Example, There Are Various Chains In The Countryside Where Young People Come Together. These Chains Have An Important Social Function, But Also Entail Risks Such As (Excessive) Alcohol Use, Limited Adult Supervision And Driving Under The Influence. In Addition, There Are Signals From Youth Workers And Youth Care Workers About The Vulnerability Of Girls In Rural Areas To (Sexual) Inappropriate Behavior And Abuse.
