About the DFCD The DFCD enables private sector investment in projects aimed at climate adaptation and mitigation in developing countries. The DFCD, managed by a consortium comprising Climate Fund Managers (CFM), World Wide Fund for Nature the Netherlands (WWF-NL), and SNV Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), and led by the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO), offers finance and technical assistance to unlock and scale private sector investment in climate-resilient development through two stages: origination and investment. The overall objective of this assignment is to help KFP develop a strategy for their high-quality compost investment and mango waste processing procedures. The assignment will include a comprehensive feasibility assessment of compost from mango peels and seeds, including developing of accelerated composting methods, formulating of compost-based fertiliser products. The assessment should include: 1. Compost technological/method analysis 2. R&D on accelerating composting tests 3. Composting output testing 4. Finalising operating procedures and layout design of the compost facility The assignment will be able to benefit from a previously conducted feedstock supply analysis of the various waste products.
