The Project Prepares Estimates Of The Development Costs Of Finlands Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Energy Balance With Current Energy And Climate Policy Measures, I.E. The So-Called Base Scenario, Until 2060. Using Scenario Modeling, The Project Analyzes Whether Finland Is On The Path Towards The National And International Climate And Energy Goals And Obligations That Have Been Set For Finland. The Scenario Results Of The Report And The Estimates Of The Achievement Of Energy And Climate Goals Can Be Used As A Starting Point For The Energy And Climate Policy Planning Of The Next Government Period And As Background Material For Drawing Up The Government Program. The Projects Modeling Is Done With An Integrated Energy System Model That Covers All Energy Sectors And The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Of The Kyoto Protocol And Their Reduction Technologies, E.G. With The Times Model. Existing, Up-To-Date Sector-Specific Scenarios Should Be Used In The Project As A Starting Point For Modeling. The Project Requires Coordination With The Modeling Of The Land Use Sector And Agriculture Scenarios To Be Implemented During 2026.
