Tenders are invited for Translator. Deadline: Tuesday, 12. May 2026 SKOUN is a Lebanese, nonprofit, non-governmental organization and one of the first outpatient facilities that provides accessible treatment, education, and protection for all people who use drugs while maintaining its values regarding inclusion, accessibility, integrity, and dignity. For 20 years, SKOUN has been caring for the most vulnerable populations in Lebanon and strives to ensure drug use and addiction are treated as primary health issues. SKOUN aims to support the development of a community-based substance use and mental health system in line with the National Mental Health Strategy and model of care, tackling gender barriers in service access and gender biases in service provision through offering quality and gender-sensitive services to women, men, boys, girls, and gender nonconforming individuals living in Lebanon, particularly the most vulnerable groups and people at risk. Job Summary: The translator will provide quality, timely, and professional translation services from English or French to Arabic or vice versa such that the meaning presented in the document reflects their true sense. Scope of Work The candidate is expected to: Translate internal and external publications, documentations, reports, and brochures from English or French to Arabic and vice versa as required. Display solid writing skills and high standards of accuracy, consistency, and faithfulness to the spirit, style, and nuances of the original text. Organize translated materials and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology (Legal and Clinical) Edit, standardize, proofread, revise, and finalize translated material prepared by other employees and contractors. Support any other task related to Skouns written and audio-visual content, as required. Communicate with team members and other stakeholders when needed. Adhere to the medical, legal and preventive terminology of Skoun Translation shall be done within the stipulated deadlines Deliverables: Translate internal and external publications, documentations, reports and brochures from English or French to Arabic and vice versa as required Criteria of selection / Minimum qualifications and professional experience: At least three years of experience; previous experience with NGOs or medical field is a plus with sworn Translator Extensive experience in translating legal, preventative and clinical publications, brochures and reports Fluency in English, French and Arabic (reading and writing) Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and operate independently, including under tight deadlines. · A university degree in translation, language, communication, journalism, public relations, public health, international relations, or any related field.
