Bim Wishes To Invite Tenders For The Supply Of Environmental Data Loggers With Access To Real-Time Information. Examples Of Data Collected Include Oxygen Concentration, Salinity, Chlorophyll A, Phycoerythrin, Blue Green), Turbidity, Suspended Solids And Ph. The Primary Purpose Of This Tender Is The Supply Of An Initial Six (6) Real Time Marine Compatible Sensor Base Unit And Associated Sensors That Can Capture Water Quality Metrics Such As Oxygen, Conductivity, Temperature, Chlorophyll A, Chlorophyll Phyco-Erythrin, Turbidity, Ph And Nitrate. The Initial Procurement Will Consist Of 6 Such Units, However, Additional Units May Be Sought During The Course Of The Contract, Subject To Funding. The Sensors Will Be Deployed From An Existing Network Of Buoys Around The West Coast Of Ireland. The Sensor Deployment Is Expected To Be 2M So Sufficient Cable Must Be Supplied To Permit This. The Water Depth At These Locations Varies From 10-30 Metres. The Buoys Are Made Of 2M Elastomer With A Closed Cell Foam. They Also Have A Polyurethane Coating. A Mechanism For Securing The Sensor To The Buoy Must Be Supplied. Any Modifications To The Buoy Must Be Detailed In The Submission. Existing 2M Elastomer Buoy To Which The Sensors Must Be Attached. The Buoy Has A Single Point Mooring. The Tender Must Make Provision For Licences Fees Associated With Online Access. A Description Of The Access Platform And Associated Costs Must Be Included In The Tender Submission For A Period Of At Least Four (4) Years. The Tender Includes A Four (4) Year Service Agreement To Include Spare Parts And/Or Any Maintenance Or Updates That May Be Required To Ensure Continued Operation Of The Real Time Sensors.
