This Connects The Wuppertal-Sonneborn Motorway Junction (A 46) With Wuppertals Südstadt. The Kiesberg Tunnel, Which Was Opened In 1970, Is To Be Completely Renovated. It Is Designed On Two Levels, So That The Two-Lane Carriageways Do Not Run Parallel, But Mostly On Top Of Each Other. In The Direction Of Travel From The Wuppertal-Sonneborn Motorway Junction (A 46) To Wuppertal, Traffic Runs Through The Lower Tube With A Total Length Of Approx. 1,043 M. Of This, 855 M Are In The Mined Tunnel Section, 50 M In The East Frame Structure And 138 M In The West Frame Structure. The Upper Tube In The Opposite Direction From Wuppertal Südstadt To The Wuppertal-Sonneborn Motorway Junction (A46) Is 855 M Long And Consists Exclusively Of A Mined Tunnel Section. In Addition, It Is Planned To Build A Replacement Building For The Missing Overpass Structure On The L 70 Over Viehhofstrasse.
