The project is envisaged to be implemented as a complete system, including renewable energy generation, energy efficiency measures, carbon credit certification services, and all Date: 9 April 2026 Project Title: Mongolia: Coal to Solar Transition in Ger Districts of Ulaanbaatar City RFI Title: Market Sounding for the Supply and Installation of Distributed Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Electric Heating Systems, Including Insulation and Ventilation Deadline for Submission: 25 April 2026 associated components. This RFI seeks to understand market capability, including suppliers that can provide full systems or specific components/services. The scope of services includes the following: Converting solar energy into electrical power. Supplying electricity for heating with thermal storage. Ensuring reliable operation through battery energy storage. Incorporating adequate insulation and ventilation components for thermal efficiency, in compliance with UNICEF Core Housing and Infrastructure Program (CHIP) standards Emission reduction management and monitoring platform, comprising IOT sensors and centrally controlled system. Establishing carbon credit certification readiness, including baseline emissions assessment, monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) protocols aligned with recognized standards, to enable generation and monetization of carbon credits.
