The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received financing from the African Development Bank (hereinafter referred to as the Bank) to finance the Integrated BurundiRwanda Development Project (BRIDEP) Burundi Component, and intends to use part of this funding to make payments under the contract for watershed development works covering a total of 5,489 hectares, adjacent to irrigation schemes in Gifurwe and Bugoma, including protection and stabilization of riverbeds supplying irrigation water in Bujumbura Province Note: Bidders may submit bids for one or both lots, provided they demonstrate separate technical resources (staff and equipment) for each lot. A bidder may be awarded one or both lots. 2. The National Project Management Unit invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders to carry out the above works. Watershed restoration measures include: Awareness-raising and capacity building of watershed management committees; Targeting priority beneficiaries using labor-intensive approaches (HIMO); Progressive terracing and agroforestry; Agroforestry hedges; Afforestation; Reforestation of ridges and degraded land; Protection of riverbeds and tributaries through bamboo planting; Rehabilitation of gullies and landslides using bamboo plantations. 3. The procurement process will be conducted through International Open Competitive Bidding, in accordance with the African Development Bank Procurement Framework (August 2021 edition), and is open to all eligible bidders. 4. Documents must be collected physically from the Project Management Unit upon presentation of proof of payment. 6. Bids must be submitted no later than June 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM (local time). Electronic submission is not permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened publicly on June 1, 2026 at 10:15 AM (local time) in the presence of bidders representatives.
