Bids Are Invited For Britannia Mine - 2200 Level Phase 2 Remedial Works

The Province Of British Columbia, As Represented By The Ministry Of Water, Land And Resource Stewardship (Ministry), Crown Contaminated Sites Program (Ccsp), Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Contractors For The Construction Of Phase 2 Remedial Works At The Britannia Mine 2200 Level Site. The Britannia Mine Site Is A Legacy Contaminated Site Requiring Ongoing Remediation Efforts Under The Environmental Management Act. The Phase 2 Remedial Works Include The Construction Of West And East Interceptor Trenches To Capture And Divert Clean Groundwater And Surface Water Around The 2200 Level Waste Rock Pile; Replacement Of The Downstream Jane Creek Culvert And Decommissioning Of The Upstream Culvert; Relocation And Reshaping Of Jane Creek Containment Berms; Regrading Of The 2200 Level Waste Rock Pile And East Waste Pile; Management Of Existing Groundwater Monitoring Wells; And Associated Site Works Including Clearing, Grubbing, And Safety Fencing.
