This Agreement Primarily Concerns The Performance Of Measurements And Inspections To Determine The Condition Of The Rail And To Detect (Incipient) Defects. The Measurements Are Carried Out Both With A Measuring Vehicle And Via A Manual Measurement. The Presence Of An (Unnoticed) Rail Defect Can Lead To Dangerous Situations And Even Incidents Such As Derailments. Data And Information About Rails Is Therefore Necessary To Guarantee The Safe Use Of The Railway In The Netherlands.
