Engineering Services – Planning Services - Construction Of A Sewage Sludge Mono-Incineration Plant (Kva). The Schwandorf Thermal Sewage Sludge Utilization Association (Ztks) Operates A Sewage Sludge Drying Plant (Kta) At The Schwandorf Waste Power Plant Site, Which Is Designed For A Maximum Drying Capacity Of 50,000 Mg/A Of Mechanically Dewatered Sewage Sludge. The Kta Only Accepts Sewage Sludge From Municipal Wastewater Treatment With The Waste Code Number 19 08 05. The Dry Matter Content Of The Sludge Accepted Is On Average Around 25%. In The Kta, The Sludge Is Completely Dried To A Final Dm Content Of Approx. 90 To 95%. In The Design Case, Around 13,500 Mg Of Dry Material Is Produced In The Kta Per Year. In Order To Be Able To Organize The Thermal Utilization Of The Sewage Sludge Generated In The Associations Area In The Future And Also To Comply With The Legal Requirements For Phosphorus Recovery, The Schwandorf Waste Recycling Association (Zms) And The Ztks Intend To Build Their Own Sewage Sludge Mono-Incineration Plant In The Immediate Vicinity Of The Existing Drying Plant And The Zms Waste Power Plant In Schwandorf. To Fulfill These Tasks, The Two Special-Purpose Associations Have Founded A Joint Municipal Company. The Name Of The Municipal Company Is “Sewage Sludge Utilization Schwandorf - Gku, Adör”. The Following Basic Framework Conditions Have Been Defined For The Construction Of The Planned Sewage Sludge Mono-Incineration Plant: - Exclusive Generation Of Process Steam For Feeding Into The Steam Network Available At The Site (Steam Parameters: 6 Bar(A), 158 °C, Saturated Steam) With The Best Possible Energy Yield. In Particular, There Is No Provision For The Construction Of A Steam Turbine To Convert The Steam Generated Into Electricity. - No Construction Of An Additional Sludge Dryer, Instead Thermal Utilization Of The Dry Material Generated In The Existing Drying System. - Autothermal Operation Of The System Is Planned, No Regular Additional Firing Of Natural Gas Or Heating Oil (Apart From Start-Up And Shutdown Processes Or Backup Firing If Necessary). - There Is A Vacant Or Partially Vacant Construction Site Available For The Construction Of The Facility (Approx. 11,500 M²). - Utilization Of Sewage Sludge With Different Compositions From Up To Approx. 100 Municipal Sewage Treatment Plants Of All Sizes. Regardless Of This, Only Sewage Sludge From Municipal Wastewater Treatment With The Waste Code Number 19 08 05 Should Continue To Be Recycled. - Generation Of A Separate, Phosphorus-Containing Ash Fraction, Which Is Suitable For Downstream Phosphorus Recovery. For The Construction Of The Sewage Sludge Mono-Incineration Plant, General Planning Engineering Services Are Therefore Required In The Service Profiles Of Traffic Systems, Engineering Structures, Technical Equipment And Structural Planning, As Well As Project Management Services For The Project Including The Organizational Coordination Of Processing As Well As The Exchange Of Information And Communication With Those Specified In The Service Description
