Tenders Are Invited For Operation Of Warehouse Units With Integrated Office Spaces In The Terminal-1 Of Air Cargo Village (Acv)

Tenders are invited for Operation of Warehouse Units with Integrated Office Spaces in the Terminal-1 of Air Cargo Village (ACV) at Bandaranaike International Airport (Bia), Katunayake. Bids are invited from Freight Forwarders, and Air Cargo Carriers for the operation of Warehouse Units with Integrated Office Spaces in the Terminal-1 of Air Cargo Village (ACV) at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, for a period of three (03) years. Handling of export cargo (general cargo, perishable cargo) are permitted in the said operation except live animals, dangerous goods, human remains, arms & ammunition and forbidden articles for airlift, to be brought into, stored and handled inside a Warehouse Unit subject to necessary approvals and clearance from the border agencies and Regulatory Institutions, including but not limited to Sri Lanka Customs, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Plant Quarantine Services, Ground Handling Service Provider(s) and other relevant organizations as applicable; depending on the nature and type of products etc., which should be obtained by the operator directly from respective regulatory/approving authorities. Relevant cargo handling operations within the Warehouse Unit(s) shall be in conformity with the rules and regulations stipulated by such relevant approving authorities. Only five (05) Warehouse Units located in the Terminal-1 of Air Cargo Village (ACV) at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, are on bid and prospective bidders may bid for one or more Warehouse Units. In the event any bidder wishes to bid for more than one (01) Warehouse Unit, bidding should be done in one bidding document accompanied by separate bid bond/bid security to the values as described in the bidding document. However, a successful bidder shall be permitted to operate a maximum of two (02) Warehouse Units under this tender. Even upon award of this contract, no operator shall be allowed to operate more than two (02) Warehouse Units at the Air Cargo Village (ACV), Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Terms, conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the bidding document. Bidding documents can be purchased on working days from 07th April 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. upto 27th April 2026 from the office of Head of Commercial & Properties Division, Room No.31, 2nd Floor of the Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake on payment of a non-refundable fee to the value of Rs.16,000.00 per set in cash on submission of an official request letter on a letter-head of the bidder. The bidding document could also be purchased from the website of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited [AASL], www.airport.lk by making a non-refundable fee of Rs.16,000.00 through an online payment. The bidding documents will be available for inspection, free of charge at the office of Commercial & Properties Division, Airport & Aviation Services [Sri Lanka] [Private] Limited [AASL], Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Bids should be made only on bidding forms issued by the company and should accompany bid bond/bid security for each space to the value as specified in the bidding document, in the form of cash deposit or a bank draft or bank guarantee issued by a Licensed Commercial Bank or a Licensed Specialized Bank operating in Sri Lanka approved and supervised by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), valid for 150 days from the date of opening of bids. Accordingly, the bank draft/bank guarantee shall be valid from 28th April 2026 upto 24th September 2026 (inclusive of both days).
