Principal Particulars-Length Overall (LOA): 2022 m-Beam: 46 m-Maximum Draft: < 2.5 m-Cruising Speed: 1025 knots-Operational Range: 500 nautical miles at economical cruising speed with 10% fuel reserve remaining-Endurance: Vessel systems and stores shall allow minimum three (3) days continuous operation at sea with full complement-Operational Capability: Vessel shall be capable of safe operation in Sea State 5-Aft Working Deck Area: 2535 m² with maximum shaded working area-Crew: 1 Captain + 1 Engineer-Scientific Personnel: up to 17 persons (Day Operations)-Overnight Accommodation: 46 persons 2. Classification and Standards The vessel shall be designed, constructed, and certified under the rules of a recognized classification society such as: DNV ABS Lloyds Register The vessel shall comply with: SOLAS safety regulations MARPOL environmental regulations Oman maritime regulations Telecommunication regulations of Oman TRA 3. Deck Handling Equipment The vessel shall be fitted with the following deck handling equipment:-A-Frame Hydraulically operated stern A-frame Safe Working Load (SWL): 23 tonnes Used for trawl deployment/recovery dredges and benthic frames Scientific equipment and heavy sampling gear-Multi-Role Deck Crane crane Knuckle boom SWL: 12 tonnes at 68 m outreach used for: loading/unloading gear, handling sampling frames, deploying passive gear, positioned to serve working deck and stern-Auxiliary Davit SWL: 0.51 tonne Used for CTD deployment and small equipment-Oceanographic winch Variable speed oceanographic winch for deployment of heavy oceanographic equipment like Rossets, lowered adcps to depths between 500 to1000 m.-Electric Fast Hoist -Dive platform ladder SWL: 300 kg Foldable with dive-Scuba cylinder holders Foldable-Central Hydraulic System HPU supplying: Trawl winch, A-frame, Pot/line hauler, designed for simultaneous operation of 2 systems 4. Propulsion and Machinery The vessel shall be fitted with a dedicated machinery space (engine room) housing the main propulsion engines, generator, pumps, and associated auxiliary systems. The machinery space shall allow safe access for inspection, maintenance, and operation in accordance with classification society requirements. The vessel shall be fitted with twin diesel engines.
