Leicestershire County Council And Rutland County Council (“The Councils”) Invites Expressions Of Interest (“Eoi”) For The Provision Of Pharmacy Services, Which Is Split Into 3 Different Service Areas:- Lot 1: Provision Of Free Emergency Hormonal Contraception (Ehc)- Lot 2: Provision Of Smoking Cessation Nicotine Replacement Therapy- Lot 3: Provision Of Leicestershire County Council Staff Flu Vaccinationslot 1: Provision Of Free Emergency Hormonal Contraception (Ehc)The Emergency Hormonal Contraception (Ehc) Service Provides Free Access To Ulipristal Acetate (Upa) Or Levonorgestrel (Lng) For Women Under 25 Years In Leicestershire And Rutland. Delivered By Accredited Pharmacists In Community-Based Settings, The Service Ensures Timely, Confidential, And Client-Centred Access To Emergency Contraception, Along With Advice On Sexual Health, Sti Prevention, And Contraception. The Service Aims To Reduce Unplanned Pregnancies And Promote Referrals To Mainstream Sexual Health Services When Needed.Lot 2: Provision Of Smoking Cessation Nicotine Replacement Therapythe Smoking Cessation Nicotine Replacement Therapy (Nrt) Service Provides Timely Access To Stop Smoking Medications For Individuals Aged 16 And Above In Leicestershire County And Rutland. Operated Through Participating Community Pharmacies, The Service Supports Smokers Engaged With The Quit Ready Stop Smoking Service By Dispensing Nrt Medications As Part Of Their Treatment Plans Via A Voucher System. The Service Aims To Assist Individuals In Their Quit Attempts, Contributing To Better Health Outcomes And Reducing Tobacco Use.Lot 3: Provision Of Staff Flu Vaccinationsthe Staff Flu Vaccination Service Provides Seasonal Flu Vaccinations To Eligible Leicestershire County Council Employees. The Service Is Delivered By Pharmacy Providers, Ensuring Convenient Access To Vaccinations To Protect Staff And Reduce Flu-Related Absences. Vaccinations Are Administered Under A Private Patient Group Direction (Pgd) At Pharmacy Premises.The Councils Will Be Using The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime (Psr)) Regulations 2023 Process To Award Contracts.
