Tenders are invited for Future Earth Observation Architecture for Monitoring Earth System Tipping Points - Expro plus The European Earth Observation Ecosystem is a cross-cutting vision for the future of Space Earth Observation, leveraging across systems, missions, and programmatic elements instead of focusing on individual systems or programmes. Embedded in this framework, the activity "Future Earth Observation Architecture for Monitoring Earth System Tipping Points" will define what the European EO ecosystem should look like by 2050 to monitor and understand climate tipping dynamics. The study will consider both the critical tipping phase and the aftermath, designing capabilities to quantify and observe processes once tipping has occurred. It will identify essentialobservables, assess current EO assets and their optimisation potential, and propose new mission concepts to fill observation gaps. A key output will be a scenario-driven high-level Mission Definition Document (MDD) and action plan, detailing system requirements for both pre- and post-tipping phases. Leveraging ESAs EO Reference Architecture Blueprint and publications from the ESA Tipping Elements Project, the activity will integrate spaceborne and in-situ data to propose innovative mission designs. This work will guide stakeholders on the EO architecture needed to address cascading climate risks and resilience loss.Read more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/ESATenderActions/filter/open
