Quotation are invited for Terra Asia Final Evaluation Budget 906 691 euros () Context of the Call for quotations The Terra Asia project is an ambitious initiative led by CFI (the French media development agency), funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs with a 907,000 contribution through the FEF instrument. The project spans 31 months, running from May 2024 to December 2026 The Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) is a regional intergovernmental organization that supports and promotes media development. It is CFIs main partner for the Terra Asia project and plays a key role in influencing media decision-makers in the region. At its 2023 annual conference, which brought together all the organizations media members, priority focus was on environmental issues and the fight against misinformation. Each activity was replicated across the four countries at a national level (e.g., seminars, trainings, grant opportunities). Three activities (one in-person training, one regional capitalization seminar, and one field visit) were organized regionally allowing the sixteen (16) participants to get to know one another. Finally, a set of ten (10) online sessions were organized with a total of over a thousand (1000) registered participants. The Terra Asia initiative focuses on strengthening the knowledge and skills of journalists from the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji so that they can create and share accurate and engaging content on environmental issues while addressing and countering related misinformation and disinformation. More specifically, the project has the following three objectives: SO 1: Strengthen the medias knowledge of environmental issues in order to reach a wider audience regarding the regions broader challenges. SO 2: Strengthen media capacity to cover environmental issues and combat misinformation on social media. SO 3: Support the production and distribution of digital content focusing on environmental issues.
