The Etzelwerk Power Plant, Built Between 1932 And 1937, Uses The Gradient Between Lake Sihl And Lake Zurich To Generate Energy And Produces Around 10% Of Switzerlands Traction Power Requirements. After The License Renewal In 2023, Sbb Is Now Carrying Out The Renewal And Replacement Of Parts Of The Etzelwerk Pumped Storage Power Plant As Part Of The “Etzelwerk Power Plant Renewal” Project.
