Technical Assistance Services – Inclusive And Sustainable Management Of Moroccan Forests - Ta For Monitoring And Execution Of The Investment Program. The 9 Million Hectares Of Moroccan Forests Constitute A Strategic Asset For The Country. They Play A Major Environmental, Social And Economic Role, Generating More Than 1.5 Billion Euros Of Activities Per Year And Directly Supporting More Than 7 Million People. However, The Progressive Degradation And Overexploitation Of These Ecosystems Threaten Biodiversity And The Sustainability Of Forest Resources. To Respond To These Challenges, The Moroccan Government Launched The 2020-2030 Forest Strategy And Created The National Agency For Water And Forests (Anef). The Eib Will Support The Implementation Of This Strategy Via A Framework Loan Intended To Finance Capital Infrastructure As Well As Non-Material Investments Intended To Strengthen Local Capacities. This Contract Aims To Select A Team Of Experts Responsible For Supporting Anef At Central, Regional And Local Levels For The Preparation And Execution Of The Anef-Bei Project. The Technical Assistance Mission Has Two Complementary Components: 1) Assistance To Project Management, To Strengthen The Operational Capacities Of Anef Throughout The Implementation Of The Project; And 2) Intellectual Assistance, In The Form Of Studies Intended To Meet The Specific Needs Of Anef Within The Framework Of The Project.
