Request for proposals for Construction Works of Carrot Washing Station in Nyabihu District. Location: Nyabihu Deadline: Tuesday, 14/04/2026 17:00 Background information Kilimo Trust (KT) is a not-for-profit organization working on agriculture and agribusiness for development and creation of employment opportunities across East Africa (Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi). Kilimo Trust Rwanda is implementing the KUNGAHARA Project, a 3-year initiative (2024-2026) implemented in Musanze and Nyabihu Districts to boost the production and consumption of healthy, sustainable, and nutritious food in Rwandas North-western Region with focusing potatoes, vegetables and fruits produced using regenerative and other sustainable production practices with funding from the European Union through Rikolto SON. Through KUNGAHARA Projects, Kilimo Trust Rwanda invites bids from eligible bidders / companies to construct Carrot Washing station in Nyabihu District which aim to facilitate post-harvest management and access to markets as well as food safety for producers and consumers of fruits and vegetables. The call for expression of interests is in one lot in Nyabihu District for construction of carrot washing station. b. Instructions to bidders. 2.1 Site visit For the interested bidders, a Compulsory site visit is scheduled on Wednesday 08th April 2026 at 10:00AM in Jenda sector of Nyabihu District. The visit will be led by Kilimo Trust Rwanda and contact phone number to confirm the set off venue is +250 780208285. Kilimo Trust will not reimburse bidders for inspection costs. 2.2 scope bid Kilimo Trust though KUNGAHARA Project invites all eligible bidders to submit their bids for the tender to construct the carrot washing station in Nyabihu District as detailed in specifications and criteria for evaluation on attachment. 2.3 Duration of the work The work will be done within two months from the date of signing the contract, probably starting in 1st May 2026. 2.4 Bidder eligibility criteria and documents to be submitted. Interested bidders must demonstrate their ability to meet the terms and obligations of the Contract and to this end their offers must provide the required documents as follows: Bidding letter addressed to the Procurement of Kilimo Trust. Priced Bill of Quantities with clearly quoted unit prices (VAT inclusive, exclusive or exempted). Registration Certificate issued by RDB. Valid Clearance Certificate issued by Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB), Valid tax clearance issued by Rwanda Revenue Authority. Similar works proven by good completion certificate and its contract. Certified financial statement of the year 2025 Good standing offered by RDB The proof of EBM Possession. Timeline for construction works. Promise to provide certified credit line from the bank of 30% on the total of financial proposal submitted or other source of finance proof. Note that: Evaluation and selection method for those who will be allowed to pass the evaluation and selection step is Quality-Price-Experience and Delivery-Based method. See Appendix 2 Submission of all administrative documents listed above is mandatory and non-submission of one of the said documents will cause the rejection of the offer. Application for bidder who will not participate in the site visit will not be considered.
