In December 2025, The Government Appointed A Committee To Carry Out A Comprehensive Review Of Education Support And Provide Knowledge-Based Advice On How Future Education Support Should Be Designed. The Committee Must Base Its Assessments On Existing Knowledge And Obtain New Knowledge Where This Is Necessary. The Committee Needs A Better Knowledge Base On: 1. The Long-Term Significance Of The Educational Support Schemes For Social Equalization In Norwegian Society 2. The Effects On Settlement Of The Schemes With Cancellation Of Student Debt In The Action Zone In Nord-Troms And Finnmark 3. The Effects Of The Cancellation Of Student Debt For Teachers On Recruitment To Teacher Education And Any Distortions In Relation To Other Educations, E.G. Kindergarten Teacher Training.
