The Former Ent From The Year 1928 Is Located On Parcel 102/5 / Lessingstrasse 2 (Total Area Approx. 2,940 M²). However, Parts Of The Areas Are To Be Converted Into Technical Areas And Nuf 7 As Part Of The Planning. The Buildings Are Each 4 Storeys High With An Additional Partially Exposed Basement And Undeveloped Gable Floor. Since The Buildings And Gardens Are Listed Buildings, Close Coordination With The State Office For Monument Preservation Or The Lower Monument Protection Authority Is Required. The Institute Building Of The Mpi For Geoanthropology Will Largely Consist Of Office Space And Ancillary Office Space; Seminar Rooms, A Laboratory Area With Storage Space As Well As Server Rooms And A “Decision Theater” Are Also Planned. The Laboratory Area Is Designed As A Laboratory Pool Shared By All Experimentally Working Organizational Units, Which Is Intended To Ensure The Synergistic Use Of Individual Rooms And Room Areas (E.G. Clean Room, Mass Spectrometry, Etc.). So There Are No Purely Departmental Laboratory Spaces. The Highly Installed Experimental Area With The Laboratories, Laboratory Storage And Servers Should Be Housed In The Urology Annex, As This Can Be Gutted And Is Typologically Well Suited.
