The Purpose Of This Expressions Of Interest Is To Request For Proposals From National And International Qualified Consultants As Single Entity Or In Joint Venture With Other Consultants, And With Or Without Sub-Consultants For The Consultancy Services For The Reconductoring Of Existing 66 Kv Transmission Tower Lines With Accc Conductors, Including Replacement Of Insulators And Associated Hardware. The 66 Kv Transmission Backbone Of Mauritius Was Constructed Several Decades Ago And Has Been Subjected To Various Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, And Environmental Stresses. The Conductors Have Been In Service For 4550 Years, Reaching The End Of Their Reliable Operational Lifespan. Moreover, The Utility Has Increased Power Transfer Requirements Driven By Generation Expansion, Renewable Integration, And Load Growth Demand Higher-Capacity Conductors. In Some Specific Areas, The Sag Level Needs To Be Adjusted To Ensure The Minimum Ground Clearance Is Achieved. This Reconductoring Exercise Aims To Address These Issues Using Modern High-Temperature, Low-Sag Conductor Technologies. The Scope Of The Reconductoring Shall Be For 8 Transmission Lines Out Of Which Some Are Single Circuited And Others Double Circuited For A Total Route Length Of 90 Km. This Consultancy Will Provide Comprehensive Engineering, Design, Tender Preparation, And Supervision Services To Ensure Safe, Cost-Effective, And Technically Compliant Execution Of The Reconductoring Works.
