Refuse And Waste Related Services – Acceptance And Recycling Of Glass And Interim Storage Of Small Metal / Subm. No.: 2026-7. Disposal + Recycling Zurich (Erz) Is Responsible For Collecting Recyclable Materials Such As Glass In The City Of Zurich. The Corresponding Obligation Is Derived From Article 3 Lit. B And Article 8 Paragraph 2 Of The Ordinance For Waste Management In The City Of Zurich (Vaz, As 712.110). The Further Recycling Of Glass, On The Other Hand, Cannot Be Carried Out By Erz, Which Is Why Erz Must Hand Over The Takeover And Further Recycling Of This Recyclable Material To A Third Party In Return For Compensation For The Value Of The Glass. The Tendered Service Includes The Takeover And Material Recycling Of The Hollow Glass Collected By Color By Erz In The City Of Zurich As Well As The Takeover And Interim Storage Of The Small Metal Collected In The City Of Zurich. Erz Sells The Hollow Glass Collected In The City Of Zurich For Material Reprocessing, Provided That Offers Are Received In Line With The Market And There Are No Agreements Between The Participating Bidders, The Bidder Who Offers The Best Acceptance Conditions Within The Framework Of This Process (See Part D, Award Criteria). In This Respect, The Offeror Has No Right To Have A Corresponding Agreement Concluded. In 2024, The Collection Volumes Amounted To 11,574 Tons Of Glass And 1,300 Tons Of Small Metal. Collection Volumes Are Subject To Weekly And Seasonal Fluctuations, Although They Have Stagnated In Recent Years. The Cooperation Is Agreed For A Period Of Two Years, From January 1St, 2027 To December 31St, 2028, With The Possibility Of A Unilateral Option In Favor Of Erz To Extend The Cooperation For Another Two Calendar Years, I.E. From January 1St, 2029 To December 31St, 2030. Erz Will Inform The Offeror In Writing About The Exercise Of The Option By June 30, 2028 At The Latest.
