Tenders are invited for Coach for Income Generation Activity at Household Level - Agriculture (x2). Mada Association is seeking 2 Coaches for Income Generation Activities at Household Level in the field of Agriculture, under the SAFE Project - Sustainable Agri-Food Economy for Refugee and Local Communities in Lebanon, funded by the Danish MoFA under the European Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP III) implemented in partnership with WeWorld and LWRO. A key component of the activity is to improve the capacities of 100 vulnerable households in North and Akkar Governorates, enabling activation of Income Generating Activities (IGAs) across various sectors, including livestock management, agriculture, food processing and dairy production. This activity targets vulnerable households with support to IGA aiming at overcoming immediate shocks during the quest for more sustainable solutions including long-term employment. A holistic package of support will be provided, including in-kind grants and tailored coaching, to help these households develop viable IGAs, increase income that can foster self-reliance and resilience. Through close collaboration with each households focal point, the Coach will design and deliver personalized one-on-one coaching sessions that respond to the specific needs, challenges, and market context of each beneficiary while building on their existing capacities and experience. Each household will receive three (3) coaching sessions. Job Summary The Agriculture Coach will play a central role in supporting beneficiaries engaged in agricultural IGAs by providing both technical and business development coaching. The objective is to equip participants with sector-specific technical knowledge, business planning skills, and practical tools to enhance productivity, income, and competitiveness while ensuring long-term sustainability. The Coach will work closely with household focal points to develop sector-specific business plans, strengthen their skills in financial management, marketing, pricing and provide practical, hands-on guidance on livestock management practices. Sessions will be tailored to each households situation to ensure that their activities are viable, profitable, and aligned with market opportunities. The program will include around 132 one-on-one sessions for the 44 selected households (estimated), each lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours, conducted in the households locations across Akkar, and Minieh-Danniyeh. Two Agriculture Coaches are required for this position. Each coach is responsible for implementing 3 sessions per household (for a total of 22 households) located at: Akkar (Mohamara, Bebnine, Ain Dahab, Berqayel, Borj Arab, El Hissa, Fneideq, Jeidet Qaytaa, and Tal Hayat) and Minnieh-Dannieh (Sfire, Btermaz and Bahnine). The number of sessions will be divided equally between the two coaches. Mada reserves the right to adjust the number of sessions and assigned households as needed. Tasks and responsibilities The Agriculture Coach will: Conduct a comprehensive review of the household validation assessment data, including analysis of available equipment, access to resources, and household production and technical capacities. Based on the findings, develop a tailored coaching program plan that addresses identified needs, builds on existing capacities, and aligns with project objectives. Coach beneficiaries on the following topics included but not limited to: Sustainable agricultural practices, including soil conservation, crop rotation, companion planting, and organic farming techniques to improve productivity. Efficient land use strategies to maximize output, especially for small-scale farmers. Share best practices for water management and conservation to strengthen resilience to environmental stress. Identify common crop pests and diseases and implement natural, low-cost pest and disease control methods (e.g., biological control, organic pesticides, integrated pest management). Harvesting, handling, and post-harvest storage to reduce losses and maintain crop quality. Topics may be adapted as needed, depending on the households business and the type of IGA. Conduct 3 one-on-one coaching sessions per each household, covering both technical and business aspects. Support both the household and the project team in identifying the appropriate tools and equipment required to enhance household capacities. Provide detailed technical specifications for each item to be procured through the in-kind grant allocated by the project, ensuring alignment with household needs, project objectives, and procurement standards. Monitor the progress of beneficiaries, providing actionable feedback and identifying opportunities for scaling or diversification. Deliverables IGA proposed coaching program A summary of each households IGA, outlining resources, technical and business gaps, and proposed coaching sessions. Individual Spending Plans Tailored plans per household integrating both items quantities and detailed technical specifications and estimated price. Attendance Sheets Documented participation for all coaching sessions. Final Recommendations Report overview of sessions, progress, summary of successful practices and suggestions for scaling up IGAs and future support needs. Qualifications Specialization or degree Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in agricultural extension, business development, or coaching, preferably in rural or vulnerable community contexts Proven expertise in supporting small businesses and IGAs, particularly in agriculture related sectors Strong understanding of local market dynamics in Akkar, Tripoli, and Mennieh-Dannieh. Demonstrated ability to provide practical, results-oriented advice tailored to the capacities of smallholder farmers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to engage diverse beneficiaries. Previous experience working with NGOs or development projects is an asset. Strong reporting and documentation skills; ability to prepare professional reports in English. Time Frame and Duration The selected Coach is expected to deliver the required sessions starting from 10 April 2026 (estimated) and for a period of 10 consecutive weeks.
