Canal Locks Construction Work – Replacement Of The Herbrum Lock - Procurement Package 2: Hydraulic Steel Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. The Project Goal Is To Replace The Left (Western) Lock Chamber In The Construction Area Of ​​The Right, Out-Of-Operation Lock Chamber On The Dortmund-Ems Canal (Dek) To Ensure The Long-Term Navigability And Performance Of The Federal Waterway. The New Lock Chamber Should Go Into Operation Before The Existing Left Chamber Is Decommissioned (Remaining Useful Life Approx. 15 Years) And Will Be Adapted To Current And Future Requirements In Terms Of Dimensions And Performance. The Project Is Being Implemented As A Pilot Project In The Form Of Integrated Project Management (Ipa) As Part Of The Waterways Partnership Model (Pmw). Characteristic Of This Model Are: - Early Involvement Of All Key Project Participants, - Joint Development Of The Construction Target In Contract Phase 1, - Cooperative And Transparent Project Management, - Shared Responsibility For Cost, Deadline And Quality Goals, - Alignment Of All Decisions With The “Best For Project” Principle. The Pmw Has A Modular Structure And Consists Of Two Contract Phases: Contract Phase 1 – Planning And Preparation. Joint Specification Of The Functional Construction Target, Risk Management And Determination Of The Target Price. Contract Phase 2 – Execution Realization Based On The Jointly Developed And Agreed Specifications. A Module Combination Was Chosen For The Project That Enables Integrated Planning And Execution In An Alliance Model With A Multi-Party Contract. This Development Model Is Particularly Suitable Due To The Technical Complexity, The Constraints Of Building In Existing Buildings And The Great Importance For Ongoing Shipping Operations. The Company Building At The Abz Lathen Site Is To Be Demolished And Rebuilt By Allianz. As Part Of The Construction Project, The Functions Of The Abz Lathen Are To Be Expanded To Include A Control Center For Remote Control Of Several Locks. Commissioning Is Planned For 2032. Award Package 2 Assumes Overall Technical Responsibility For The Technical Equipment Of The Lock System. This Includes Close-To-Execution Participation In The Integrated Planning Phase As Well As In The Execution Phase The Complete, On-Time And High-Quality Production, Delivery, Assembly, System Integration And Commissioning Of All Hydraulic Steel Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical And E&C Systems Assigned To Him. Vp 2 Ensures That The Technical Systems Meet The Functional Requirements, The Coordinated Construction Statuses As Well As The Requirements For Operation, Maintenance And Availability And Are Technically Consistently Integrated Into The Overall System.
