Engineering Design Services – Technical Planning Of An Unloading Point For The Long-Term Securing Of The Bedload Addition (Lsg) Project - Iffezheim Location. The Planning Service Advertised Here Includes The Technical Planning Of The Unloading Point Including The Dam Crest Crossing. The Approximately 200 M Long And 20 M Wide Unloading Point Will Be Located On The Rhine Side Embankment On The Right Side Of The Rhine Between Rhine Km 332.5 And 332.7. The Unloading Point Is Designed As A Rectangular Sheet Pile Construction. In Order To Ensure The Stability Of The Water-Side Sheet Piling (Quay Wall), Anchors To The Rear Sheet Piling Will Probably Be Required. According To The Current Planning Status, The Use Of Coupled Units (Motor Ship Type “Large Rhine Ship With Coupled Light Type “Europe Ii”) Is Planned For The Transport Of The Retention Area Material. These Will Dock At The Quay Wall Of The Unloading Point For The Unloading Process. There Are No Plans To Transport The Ship. To Cross The Top Of The Dam, The Conveyor Belt Is Guided In A Kind Of Trough Structure. Since It Must Be Possible To Drive Over The Top Of The Dam At Any Time, A Crossing Is Required In The Area Of The Dam Top Path. The Unloading Facility Is Scheduled To Operate For 8 Years. At The End Of This Period, The System Will Be Dismantled. The Continued Use Of The Unloading Point As A Permanent Car Transshipment Point For Inland Shipping Should Be Examined As Part Of The Planning.
