Expression of Interest for Accelerated Investment Project - ESTEC Phased Construction of ESTEC Office, Lab and Orbit Buildings - Stage 1. ESA is seeking to procure the construction, in 3 phases, of buildings to:1) Replace buildings in zone B, C, D (with the exceptionof the portion of building Dg which is replaced by the Hertz 2.0 project) which now accommodate 1,250 people with a working environment in modern settings and with a net surface (meaning excluding toilets, circulation areas and ancillary space) not exceeding the current one,2) Host laboratories to replace those currently in zones B, C and D (except for these zone D labs that will move to theHertz 2.0 building) and not exceeding their overall current size,3) Host a catering facility replacing the Lunch Pad restaurant.Further works are the reorganisation of the parking areas to be able to free up parking A for new buildings while maintaining adequate parking capacity at ESTEC, and the adaptation of roads and corresponding general site infrastructures, and utilities.The new buildings will be connected by walkways, the main one being the Orbit, whose elliptical shape will give the projects central area itscharacteristic form.The current estimated construction phases (subject to change due to operational or technical needs) are envisioned as:Phase 1: the construction of two new office buildings, of the future building housing the laboratories, and of a portion of the Orbit.Phase 2: the construction of one office building and of another section of the Orbit.Phase 3: the completion of the last office building and the last section of the Orbit, and any external landscaping works remaining.
