The Glenmore Landfill (Located At 2720 John Hindle Drive, Kelowna) Receives Recyclable Gypsum Materials From Both New And Used Sources On A Daily Basis, Totalling Approximately 5000-6000 Tonnes Per Year. The City Uses An Online Screening Process To Mitigate The Potential For Asbestos Containing Material To Be Included The Recyclable Gypsum.The City Requires A Contractor To Haul Gypsum And Related Materials On An As Required Basis From Stockpiles Located At The Glenmore Landfill To “New West Gypsum Recycling” In Calgary, Ab. The Contractor Is Expected To Haul The Materials On An Ongoing Basis And Prevent The Stockpile From Reaching 500 M3. There May Already Be A Small Stockpile Of Materials Ready To Be Shipped Upon Contract Commencement. The City Has An Estimated Annual Budget Range Of $500,000 To $600,000 Cad For These Services.
